Why I am loving my first Fall in the United States ?

Hello October/ Hello Autumn! I am so excited to experience my first Fall in the United States. Though I stay in Sunshine state Florida which is surrounded by warm water, peninsula and it rarely gets cold, even in winter, and the sun is almost always shining. When entire North America is freezing with snow in winters, Florida has the sunniest winter climate in the eastern United States. Here are my six reasons why I am loving this season.

i) Pumpkin Spice lattes & Pumpkin Cheese Muffins at the only Starbucks

Being caffeine addict, Pumpkin Spice latte is a treat to my taste buds. There is no better way to celebrate the fall season than with Pumpkin Spice latte and Pumpkin Cheese Muffins. The best part is the availability of Starbucks within a 60 mile radius and you can hop whenever you want. πŸ™‚

ii) Apple & Pumpkin Picking

Firstly, You get a chance to visit orchard and breathe some fresh air. Secondly, who doesn’t love all things which are apple or pumpkin flavored ? Get some fresh apples and pumpkins, and bake a pie for your family. Share some happiness around. πŸ™‚

iii) Pumpkin carving and decorating

After picking out a pumpkin, now it’s the time for Halloween decorations. Just gear up and show your holiday spirit !

iv) Season’s Premiere

Few of my Fall’s favorite TV shows are Blindspot and Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris on NBC, Quantico, Modern Family, Nashville, Grey’s Anatomy , Once Upon a Time on ABC and The Big Bang Theory on CBS. I know it’s too much. πŸ˜€

v) Halloween

With the coming of Halloween weekend in the few days, I am excited about my costume which is secret for a while. πŸ˜‰ But I will be going to Howl-O-Scream which is an annual Halloween event that takes place at Busch Gardens, Tampa. I am really excited and will share about my experience in the coming posts.

vi) Did I mention about Taylor Swift Concert ?

Yes, I am so excited to meet my favorite singer. I will be going to Taylor’s Swift : The 1989 World Tour concert on 31st October at Raymond’s James Stadium, Tampa and I will be sharing all the details with you. If you want to see live updates from the concert, you can join me on Periscope @anamika15. πŸ˜‰

As FALL means  winter is just around the corner,  it’s also the beginning of festive season and celebrations. In our Hindu custom, our biggest festival is ‘Diwali’ – the festival of lights which is next month. I will be missing home and family but definitely plan something with my Indian Friends out here. Then we also have Thanks Giving next month and then it’s my hubby’s  birthday on 25th December…yeah it’s X’mas. So there are too many things in my bucket to plan as of now.

What do you love about Fall- The weather, The Winter Wear, The Food, The festivity ? Do share in the comments below.

Love,
Ana

    1. I annually look forward to Fall. In all honesty, Arizona really doesn’t have a “Fall”, but it is our version of cooler weather and pumpkin spice lattes. πŸ™‚

    1. Who doesn’t love apple picking, right?! It’s honestly my FAVORITE! I went with my boyfriend this year and it was just so fun and we also did a corn maze which was the first time I had ever done that before. It was a blast!
