When I met the Penguins…!
Are you fascinated about Penguins…?
These are cute, flightless and aquatic birds that live in Southern Hemisphere, especially in Antarctica. Though visiting Antarctica is a herculean task, you can get a feel of Antarctica and have a glimpse of Penguins at Empire of the Penguins, Sea World, Orlando, Florida.
You must be thinking how Penguins can survive in the scorching heat of Florida..? Well, Sea World has created the frigid realm in steamy Florida, added faux glaciers, an underwater viewing area, a high-tech ride and a gift shop. You might be tempted to reach for the birds as they chill out in the 6,000-square-foot habitat, but signs warn you not to try. You’ll also be tempted to hang out forever to watch the curious creatures splash and interact — until you realize you’re freezing. It’s below 30 degrees!
You can feel the grandeur of the South Pole and see it through the eyes of a penguin named Puck on an exhilarating, first-of-its-kind family adventure ride. There are two kinds of motion based simulators rides experience available- mild or wild. You can choose between them.
After you step off the ride, you’ll explore the penguins’ colony in an expanse that envelops you in cool extremes: bringing you above and below their icy world.
I won’t speak much about it. Let the pictures speak themselves. 🙂
If you want to go behind the scenes and interact with Penguins and listen to their stories from the animal experts, you can take a 45-minute walking tour.
I had an amazing experience with the Penguins. Do check out my next post for more updates and adventures at Sea World, Orlando.
Happy Travelling,
Ana

December 8, 2015Yes Cori, there are so many things to explore. Apart from Penguins, there are whales, dolphins and almost any aquatic animal that we can think about. You too have a great day! 🙂

December 8, 2015Beautiful pictures Ana. I had never given any thought as to where penguins might reside other than in cold climates. I live in an area that allows for nature based activities where you can watch and learn about some of the birds and other animals by seeing them in their natural habitat. Very cool.
