When I met the Penguins…!
Are you fascinated about Penguins…?
These are cute, flightless and aquatic birds that live in Southern Hemisphere, especially in Antarctica. Though visiting Antarctica is a herculean task, you can get a feel of Antarctica and have a glimpse of Penguins at Empire of the Penguins, Sea World, Orlando, Florida.
You must be thinking how Penguins can survive in the scorching heat of Florida..? Well, Sea World has created the frigid realm in steamy Florida, added faux glaciers, an underwater viewing area, a high-tech ride and a gift shop. You might be tempted to reach for the birds as they chill out in the 6,000-square-foot habitat, but signs warn you not to try. You’ll also be tempted to hang out forever to watch the curious creatures splash and interact — until you realize you’re freezing. It’s below 30 degrees!
You can feel the grandeur of the South Pole and see it through the eyes of a penguin named Puck on an exhilarating, first-of-its-kind family adventure ride. There are two kinds of motion based simulators rides experience available- mild or wild. You can choose between them.
After you step off the ride, you’ll explore the penguins’ colony in an expanse that envelops you in cool extremes: bringing you above and below their icy world.
I won’t speak much about it. Let the pictures speak themselves. 🙂
If you want to go behind the scenes and interact with Penguins and listen to their stories from the animal experts, you can take a 45-minute walking tour.
I had an amazing experience with the Penguins. Do check out my next post for more updates and adventures at Sea World, Orlando.
Happy Travelling,

December 9, 2015Oh this is on my list now!! What an experience. Only question: were the kids super cold? Just want to know how my niece would take to it. She loves the penguins from Happy Feet and this would be a nice treat for her.

December 9, 2015Hey Hi Phyllis, yes it was very cold inside. But I saw kids wear sweatshirts with hoods out there. And they were enjoying a lot. Thanks for stopping by and I bet, you will have a great time out there. 🙂
