My Favorite Checked In Places in 2015
A very Happy New Year to you…! Can’t believe how time flies ?…As we are in 2016, with the new year, have new aspirations to explore the places, adventures and travel plans for this year. Thought to throw light on my 2015 adventures and most memorable travel moments.
2015 has been a blissful year and I was fortunate enough to travel around so many places in the United States of America. But my biggest achievement was that I moved from tourist zone to traveler zone and explored new horizon for myself. Here is a quick recap of my favorite checked in moments in 2015.
Niagara Falls, NY, USA
Niagara Falls were first in my checklist of exploring the places in the United States. I had an amazing experience with the Majestic Niagara Falls. The Falls were powerful, surreal, hypnotic and spectacular. Any of these adjective is not sufficient to describe the glory of the Majestic Niagara Falls.
Walt Disney World, Florida, USA
Visiting Walt Disney World, Florida was like a childhood dream come true. The four theme parks of Walt Disney World- Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studio and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will make you feel overwhelmed that you can’t ask anything more in your life.
Empire State Building, New York City, NY, USA
One of the iconic building of New York City. No trip of the NYC is complete without visiting the Empire State building. The view from 86th and 102nd floor is breathtaking.
Statue of Liberty, New York City, NY, USA
It was a memorable experience visiting Lady Liberty at Liberty Island and exploring Ellis Island. It is a great place to visit and I had a wonderful experience with Lady Liberty.
One World Trade Center/Freedom Tower, New York City, NY, USA
It is a beautiful addition to the NYC skyline. A casual cafe, a bar with small plates & American fine dining with breathtaking views from the 101st floor. It’s an experience for a lifetime.
Times Square, New York City, NY, USA
When you visit Times Square in Midtown Manhattan, you will find an answer why tourists from all over the globe come to marvel at the neon billboards? This part of the city never sleeps at night. Nothing made me feel like I was in New York City like standing in Times Square did. Watching all the people coming and going, like ants on an ant hill. I thought it was amazing that I was actually seeing this in real life after seeing it in so many movies. Magical, and a must-go for anyone visiting NYC.
St. Augustine Lighthouse, St. Augustine, Florida, USA
St. Augustine Lighthouse is a must visit tourist attraction of St. Augustine. It’s a nice landmark and well-preserved piece of History. The view after climbing 217 stairs to the top of the lighthouse is magnificent and splendid.
Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA
You have to see to actually believe how beautiful the Grand Canyon is. It is probably the most amazing place that I’ve been to in the United States. It’s just unbelievable how the Colorado River carved out this gorgeous canyon. It is simply a display of how beautiful mother nature can be.
Las Vegas Strip, Nevada, USA
One of the most visible aspects of Las Vegas’ cityscape is its use of dramatic architecture. The rapidly evolving skyline and constant modernization of hotels, casinos, restaurants, residential high-rises, and entertainment offerings on the Strip with the best party of the town will make you insane.
Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida, USA
Universal Studio is an amazing place where you will go beyond the screen, behind the scenes and jump into the action of your favorite movies at the world’s premier movie and TV based theme park. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is the legendary attraction of Universal Studios.
Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, USA
Ocean Drive is a place with high energy and has many restaurants with some awesome drinks! Great Vibes and awesome beach parties at night. This is a MUST see for anyone traveling to Miami Beach.
Silver Springs State Park, Ocala, Florida, USA
Silver Springs is the world’s largest artesian spring and Florida’s oldest tourist attraction. It is one such place to spend quality time with Nature. There is lush greenery everywhere surrounded by plenty of flora and fauna which can soothe any soul. The feeling is priceless to see the crystal clear deep spring water containing enormous aquatic life and the soft gentle breeze around the Springs that caresses your face and cools your body.
These were some of my favorite places that I have checked in 2015. Do share your memorable traveling moment or let me know your favorite place which you have checked in 2015 in the comments below.

To transform from tourist to traveler state must have difference experience for you. Hope you will have more places to explore in 2016.
We had been in Niagara Fall, Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas strip. In Las Vegas Strip, we can see the amazing work in enginering. The Fall and Grand Canyon make us feel the giant power of nature.

January 5, 2016Wow you’ve gone on some very nice trips! I can’t wait to take my son to DisneyWorld and experience that with him. Although I’ve lived in New York my whole life, I’ve never been to the Statue of Liberty and when my son learned about it at school, he said he wanted to go, so I’m hoping to take him soon. Beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing with us! Looks like you had a great year 🙂

January 4, 2016Wow! You were busy this year with a lot of travel! That is so amazing. I hope to be able to travel more in the future. The only place we traveled to in 2015 was to Croatia, where we visited three different towns — Split, Zagreb, and I don’t remember the third, haha! It was great fun and there were amazing sights, but we had our two sons with us (one of which was only 5 months old at the time), so it wasn’t quite as relaxing as one would hope (the trip was all planned and run by my MIL). We hope to travel back to the States for a visit this July, so hopefully I’ll have more “check-ins” this year! Cheers! xo
