7 Skin Care Tips After Working For Whole Day
Many times we concentrate on daytime skin care and forget about the importance of taking good care of our skin in the evening after a long day’s work. Making it a habit of taking good care of your skin in the evening is important. It helps to get a relaxed skin and create some room for it to rejuvenate and create new skin cells in preparation for the next day. The night is a perfect time for the skin, when the body is not busy for the skin to rejuvenate and repair all the damaged cells. Having an effective skin care routine for your skin in the evening after a long day at work is important. It will help you to achieve a healthy and youthful skin. Below are some of the best after work skin care tips that will help you to achieve a good and healthy skin.
1. A Good Cleansing
After a long day at work, your face and skin were exposed to a very hostile environment. A lot of dust and debris will have collected on the skin surface. Some of it will have clogged the skin pores. You may not feel the debris, but believe me by evening, your skin has a lot of dirt on it. Apart from the dirt, the makeup you applied in the morning has blocked your skin pores. This poses acne threat to the skin. You should, therefore, consider cleansing the face thoroughly when you get home from work. However, be keen not to break the skin as you wash your face.
2. Applying a Soothing Face Mask
This will help in cleansing the face. It removes all debris and helps to unblock all the pores that were left unblocked even after the cleansing. This is especially important for persons that are fond of liquid primers. These tend to clog pores more easily, and it’s hard to remove them via mere cleansing. Apart from helping unclog the pores, soothing mask works on the skin and helps to remove wrinkles and fine lines under eyes. Unclogged pores allow penetration of ingredients into the skin. This helps to retain skin cell shape and thus the shape of the face.
3. Use an Eye Cream
After you have applied face cream on the face, make sure that you tap a thin layer of eye cream to cover the skin around the eyes. This helps in keeping delicate under eye skin hydrated.
4. Avoid Tight Clothes while Sleeping
During the night, your body will sweat a lot. Tight clothes that hold to the body will lead to clogging of dirt and fat in the pores. Therefore, avoid tight clothes especially around the face region.
5. Apply Moisturizer to the areas around the Face and Neck
The kind of moisturizer used during the day is different from that used during the night. During the day, the moisturizers contain the sunscreen effect and are aimed at protecting the skin from the sun damage. They are also lighter and more comfortable compared to moisturizers applied at night. The night moisturizers are thicker and are not much pleasing to the user. However, they are significant and contain ingredients like Vitamins A and C. Most importantly, they contain peptides and antioxidants that help to repair any damages to the skin because of the adverse conditions of the day. Night moisturizers help achieve a supple and soft skin. Moisturizers are also important if you want to know how to plump your lips.
6. Secure your Hair
Make sure that your hair is not on your face. This will prevent the addition of dirt from hair. When you sweat in the night, the oil from the hair may flow to the face and clog the pores.
7. Apply a Topical Retinoid
The topical retinal promotes collagen building thus helps to achieve an even skin color. This is essential for the evening treatment as no adverse temperature hinders the development of collagen. It should be applied to clean skin. After you have cleansed, tap the face gently with a cotton face towel. Do not dry the skin thoroughly. Some creams like Skin Ceuticals C E Ferulic that contain vast amounts of retinoid help to slow the appearance of aging signs in the skin. Always ensure that you follow up a topical retinoid with a facial moisturizer. This is because a retinoid layer will have a drying effect on the skin.
