Top 3 Ways to Brighten/ Whiten Your Teeth
Unleash your best smile with these easy recipes to brighten and whiten your teeth. Having a beautiful and bright smile is achievable, quick and best of all, natural.
Growing up, I noticed no matter what I ate or how often I brushed and flossed, my teeth would never look quite like all the toothpaste commercial models on television. I looked into the readily available teeth whitening toothpastes and was appalled at the chemicals allowed to come near my gums and teeth. The most common, carbamide peroxide, effectively bleaches the teeth – but a whopping 25% of users have reported an excruciating pain due to the misuse of carbamide peroxide. Pains from these harmful chemicals eventually subside but will be chronic if the user does not quit using the product.
I even tried a teeth whitening kit and cringe at the price tag and remembering how it felt! My teeth were extremely sensitive for a full week, anything hotter or colder than room temperature would result in sharp pain. White teeth do not have to be painful!
Below I have listed the top 3 ways to brighten and whiten your teeth naturally and pain free!
Brighten Your Teeth Using Organic Toothpaste, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide
- Step 1: Choose organic toothpaste of choice; such as a gluten free, fluoride free and vegan. In a small cup, mix half toothpaste and half baking soda.
- Step 2: Apply mixture to a regular toothbrush.
- Step 3: Brush teeth using your toothpaste and baking soda mixture. Do not rinse your mouth after you are done.
- Step 4: Sip 1-2 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide into your mouth (DO NOT SWALLOW) and brush your teeth a second time using an electric toothbrush.
- Step 5: Rinse your mouth from the toothpaste, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide mixture.
- Step 6: Swish 60 seconds using organic mouth wash.
Tip: Do not let mixture run down your lips.
Brighten Your Teeth Using Organic Activated Charcoal Powder
- Step 1: Choose an organic activated charcoal powder of choice.
- Step 2: Wet organic toothbrush.
- Step 3: Dip the wet toothbrush into the activated charcoal powder.
- Step 4: Brush teeth as normally for 2 minutes.
- Step 5: Rinse your mouth very well.
Tip: Place towels around sink; this method can get messy.
Brighten Your Teeth Using Turmeric Powder and Coconut Oil
- Step 1: Have ready ¼ teaspoon of organic turmeric powder and ⅛ teaspoon of organic melted coconut oil.
- Step 2: Mix turmeric powder and coconut oil into a paste.
- Step 3: Brush teeth as usual.
- Step 4: Allow the paste to remain on your teeth for up to 5 minutes.
- Step 5: Rinse your mouth very well.
Do not forget to floss and use mouthwash every time! Each of these 3 methods will brighten your teeth in a cost-effective and easy manner. Start looking good and get the pearly whites you dreamed of without the pain, chemicals and false promises.

February 20, 2017These were new to me. Who knew about turmeric + coconut oil and charcoal oil! Both combos seem so contradictory to white teeth. Going to give them both a try. Thanks so much for the great tips

March 25, 2016I use coconut oil and turmeric powder all of the time. I really hate the whitening kits because my teeth hurt for days after I’ve used the whitening strips. I’ll have to try the other methods. 🙂
