Restaurants You Must Explore In San Diego
I recently visited San Diego — ‘America’s Finest City’ on the guest media trip to the grand opening of SpringHill Suites Marriott and explored few of the best places in San Diego to have a bite and soak in the Southern Californian vibe. Among all the restaurants that I visited, I loved these four restaurants which every San Diego’s visitor must explore. These are some awesome places with mouth-watering food and hand-crafted drinks and boutique wines to die for. And I bet that after experiencing their food, you couldn’t ask for anything more!
Coasterra at Harbor Island
If you want to have the awesome Mexican food with a breathtaking view of San Diego skylines and San Diego bay, you must visit Coasterra — San Diego’s premiere bayfront dining destination. Few of the things which I tried was coconut margarita (that had a very unique and amazing taste), Creamy Corn soup, Coasterra’s Queso Fundido (consisted of Monterey jack, Chihuahua cheese, house made chorizo, roasted poblano chiles, flour tortillas), Coasterra Guacamole (consisted of crushed avocado, tomato, red onion, cilantro, cracked black pepper, parmesan, lime, serrano). I was so filled that didn’t have space left for desserts.
Georges At The Cove at La Jolla
If you are fond of the authentic sea food and wants to experience roof dining with the panoramic breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean, you must visit Georges at the cove. Unfortunately, it was raining on the day when I went and couldn’t experience the view from their Ocean Terrace. I sat in their indoor bar where you can sip and soak yourself in beautiful Southern Californian million dollar view. I had a noodle salad and Sea3 cocktail which was the combination of dehydrated mango, lime & chili infused tequila, lime juice and Agave nectar. It was my best drink I had in San Diego!
KEX Kettner Exchange at Little Italy
Kettner Exchange is a rooftop restaurant and bar in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood. They have little wooden and steel cabanas and the most beautiful architectural design which is the mixture of hard and soft edges, the curve of the booths and the squareness of the brown, tufted leather lounge seats. KEX offers progressive American cuisine from critically acclaimed Executive Chef Brian Redzikowski and expertly crafted spirits, boutique wines, craft cocktail decanters, individual classic cocktails and private, self-serve beer taps offerings by Steven Tuttlealong located right inside your cabana. The ambiance is full of San Diego’s nightlife buzz energy. If you want a quiet dinner, go Sunday through Wednesday. If your life calls for a party, go Thursday through Saturday or for Sunday brunch. And I can bet that you’ll have an awesome time!
Basic Pizza in Downtown
Basic Pizza is located in the heart of East Village in Downtown San Diego. It’s a casual urban space where you’ll get the feeling of the downtown warehouse vibe. They serve amazing thin crust pizza’s as well as drinks. You can find Chicago style stuffed similar Pizza’s out here. You can customize your pizza and select the ingredients from their menu. You must visit Basic Pizza on your next San Diego visit and I can bet that it won’t disappoint you!
