How to Travel Fresh, Beautiful & Happy Anywhere In The World?
I love to travel. There’s nothing more exciting than exploring the country on a train or boarding a plane to fly across the world. If you’re reading this, chances are you know the feeling. Like me, you have a desire to immerse yourself in different cultures. Every day is a chance to see and learn something new.
If you have ever taken a long trip anywhere, you know that it can be difficult – and sometimes, impossible – to keep up with your regular beauty and hygiene routine. When you’re on a train for a few days or stuck in airports on layovers, you can’t exactly enjoy a hot shower or follow the same skin care regimen that you would at home.
So, how do you keep yourself fresh and your skin and hair happy when it’s impossible to follow your regular routine? After years of globetrotting, I have learned a few very important tips and tricks that I want to share with you today. Here’s how to travel fresh, beautiful and happy anywhere in the world.
1) Prevent Breakouts and Dryness
If you take good care of your skin, you can avoid dryness and breakouts that require a lot more work to get rid of. If you neglect to take care of your skin from the get-go, you will have a lot more damage control to worry about once it starts breaking out. Plus, you’ll be pretty uncomfortable by then too.
2) Use a High-Quality Sunscreen
Carry something like the Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 60+ with you, and apply some even if you aren’t going to the beach. It’s hypoallergenic and keeps your skin moisturized while protecting it from harmful UV rays.

Products like the Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser will keep your skin fresh and clean while you’re on the go. End each day with a face wash like this, and your skin will be happy even if it’s sensitive. It’s especially important to follow this rule when you’ve spent a lot of time in the sun or salt water.

When you’re taking a long trip or exploring a new country, you don’t always have time to take a daily shower. Fortunately, there are some great products out there that will keep you fresh and clean without a tub – or water!
5) Use a Cleansing Stick
Cleansing sticks are brilliant. Carry the Su:m37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick with you for those early mornings when you just don’t have time for a shower. It’s packed with antioxidants and will keep your skin clean without requiring water. Just massage some into your skin, wipe it off, and voila! You’re clean.
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”3332773″]6) Use a Natural Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizers are helpful when you need to wash your hands but don’t have access to soap and a sink. However, they aren’t so great when they smell like alcohol and dry out your skin. Try The Honest Company Hand Sanitizer Spray, made with aloe and glycerin and available in soothing scents like lavender and lemongrass.
7) Never Leave Home without a Dry Shampoo
Dry Shampoo is a lifesaver when you’re going on a long journey. Try some MoRoCcanoil Dry Shampoo, which will degrease your hair without leaving any chalky residue behind.

If you don’t have time to style your hair or get a manicure, there are products that you should always carry to keep yourself beautiful while you’re on the go.
Take Care of Your Nails with a Cuticle Cream
Carry a tiny tin of Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream and apply it to your nails once a day. Even if you can’t stop for a manicure, your nails will look neat and your cuticles will stay soft and happy.
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”3332776″]Carry a Super Compact Concealer Stick
There’s no need to pack a mirror, brush and concealer and go through a whole process to give your skin that glow you love. Just carry the Shiseido Perfecting Stick Concealer with you. You can easily apply it to your skin right from the tube and use your finger to blend it in.
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”3332778″]Work with Your Hair – Not Against It
Don’t try to fight the beachy waves or bed head while you’re traveling. Instead, work with it. Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray will take your messy hair and tame it in just the right way. Apply this for magazine-worthy beach waves that will look great in your travel pics.
[show_shopthepost_widget id=”3332779″]Every one of the products on this list together can fit into one beauty bag. It took me a few trips to discover them all, but now they’re all the products I never leave home without when I’m taking off on a new journey. Pack them into your bag and keep yourself fresh, beautiful and happy anywhere in the world!
