A Spa Retreat At PURE Spa | Pelican Grand Beach Resort, FL
If you’re thinking about a spa retreat this holiday season in the Sunshine State, where self-renewal and rejuvenation await you in the most tranquil of surroundings, the PURE Spa — a luxury boutique spa nestled on the 11th floor of the Pelican Grand Beach Resort, adorning 500 feet of Fort Lauderdale’s private, pristine beachfront would be a perfect spa retreat getaway. This resort is a part of the Noble House Hotels & Resorts collection – couples Old Florida grandeur with seaside elegance to offer guests a coastal-chic waterfront retreat. From the moment you enter the PURE Spa, you’ll get the Scandinavian vibe that will transport you to a world of inner calm, serenity, and beauty. The breathtaking panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean from the spa is a splendid treat to your eyes itself!
The industry veteran and Spa Director — George Powell-Lopez, co-created this intimate luxury spa (opened June 2015) bringing the exotic Scandinavian feeling of well being to South Florida.
I went to PURE Spa last month to take a break from my busy schedule and I have to admit that it was the best retreat I’ve taken in the last few months. The 3,000-square-foot PURE Spa features a Swedish-style decor with whitewashed wooden floors, green accented walls and floor-to-ceiling glass windows throughout creating a signature style. The ideal rooftop retreat from an elite suite features three indoor treatment rooms and two outdoor spa cabanas. The spa also offers two oceanfront manicure/pedicure stations and locker rooms, in addition to an outdoor shower – all touting unobstructed oceanfront views, a relaxation room with hanging chairs — one of my personal favorites to soak myself in the ambiance!

With a mantra as wholesome as “You Are Beautiful,” PURE Spa provides an assortment of signature treatments including ‘PURE You’, where no two treatments are alike as the therapist and guest work together to personalize the service performed. The spa also offers roof-top yoga along with a delectable variety of massage therapy, facials and skin care essentials, body treatments, nail care, waxing and make-up. From signature services including hydra therapy treatments to the Royal Bathing Ritual – the spa provides a range of advanced services. The PURE Spa partners and products in use include those by Maria Åkerberg (Pelican Grand is the only spa in the United States to carry Maria’s full line of 100% organic, pharmaceutical-grade skincare and makeup), Babor, Edge Systems and T-Spheres, plus luxury linen by the Madison Collection.
On this festive season, PURE Spa is offering a special treatment menu — ‘PURE SPPPPHH-LIDAY’ starting from December 1, 2016 to January 10, 2017 providing an opulent retreat with an unparalleled spa experience. From Peppermint Pedicure to Mistletoe Mingle and from White Christmas Snowflakes Body Glow to Gingerbread Massage, these treatments will pamper you from within getting you in the true holiday spirit of this season.
I opted for a White Christmas Snowflake Body Glow massage which included White Chocolate Body Scrub to exfoliate the dry skin followed by White Chocolate Body Oil for a complete massage. And later applying White Body Lotion to finish the session.
As soon as I entered PURE Spa, I was greeted by the receptionist and she escorted me to the locker room where I was given slipper and robe to change. Then I was taken to the relaxing room where I was offered a tropical fruit drink, white chocolates and berries which delighted my taste buds.
After finishing the waiver signing formalities, I was greeted by my masseuse Venus who escorted me to the service room where my massage was to take place. She was highly skilled, talented and extremely polite. The massage room was nearly filled with the long, plush table that was it’s centerpiece. Aromatic candles and the sounds of a Buddhist Chant CD set the mood. Venus gave me some privacy and asked me to slipped off my robe and get comfortable on the table. She came after 5 minutes.
For the next 50 minutes, her hands slid smoothly over my body, kneading my sore muscles and rubbing away my stress. Firstly, my body was scrubbed with White Chocolate Body Scrub to exfoliate my skin. It was too difficult to resist the heavenly scent of the white chocolate. After scrubbing, Venus applied the White Chocolate Body Oil and transformed me into a different world where I felt the transmigration of my mind, body and soul. After the massage, she applied White Chocolate Body Lotion that made my skin soft and silky.
After the massage, I was given coconut infused water (to help clear away the toxins in my body released by the massage) which was quite relaxing and refreshing!

If in one word, I have to describe my spa experience, it was close to Nirvana! PURE Spa is among those luxury boutique spas that know very well how to provide an intimate luxury spa to its clients. The staff is very polite, friendly and hospitable.
A mere 50 minutes on the massage table made me feel as though I had been to paradise and back. It’s definitely a place I’ll be returning soon. I had an overwhelming spa experience and left with a big fat smile!
Thank you to the entire team of the PURE Spa, Pelican Grand Beach Resort for giving me an ultimate spa experience!

December 5, 2016You’ve described your spa experience so well that I could almost feel the hands of your therapist massaging my shoulders. I love that the spa is so high up, usually they are designed to be in the basement or ground floor of a hotel. It makes it so much special having that view to look at while you simply relax.
