How To Pack Your Travel Makeup Kit Like A Pro?
Your game is your beauty and we trust you’re looking phenomenal even as you are reading this; not everyone can pull the glitter as well, let us tell you that – but you’re managing it, and we applaud.
However, even the top gorgeous gals out there can’t sometimes figure out the way to be practical with their beauty products, especially when they’re heading out to a destination. Hey, we don’t blame you – with all the beauty products laying around (and, let’s be real for a second – we always need them ALL), it’s pretty hard to finalize products that are making it into our travel gear.
Fright not, we’ve got a few tips that will ease the whole jam. Hear us out:
Dry Shampoo
First, who’s washing their hair every day and if they are – why are they doing it? Second, it’s only expected that you won’t be able to rely on your hairdresser’s skill when you are out on the vacay, which is why your trust should go into your dry shampoo.
Pack the one you are using regularly (this is not the time to experiment with new brands) and let it work like a gangbuster on yesterday’s grease. Easy!
Face Mask
One of those non-essential essentials that has the power to instantly freshen up a tired face, especially one that’s been wandering around a foreign location all day. Plus, if you don’t want to overpack by brining your night cream, too – this one will help you wake up with refreshed, dewy skin.
Face Cleanser
No matter whether you are going for a day or a week, you shouldn’t leave your skin-care routine back home. Keep your daily cleanser close and your oil even closer! It’s best if you have a two-in-one formula – it’s effective and doesn’t take much space. We love it because it gently removes makeup, moisturizes the skin, tones and comes in a convenient TSA-friendly size.
Concealer
An absolute must for wherever you are traveling to, especially if you’re not expecting to get much sleep. Pack a high-coverage concealer and let it work its magic!
Power
The one you’re usually using and the one which has the best coverage, that’s the one to pack. Going on a trip is about staying true to the products you KNOW work, so that’s that. Paired with a concealer and the right blush, it will give your face the freshness it deserves.
Makeup Brushes
Almost as thin as your passport, this portfolio of five Lilliputian makeup brushes is specifically designed to go places. We even tuck in a few Band-Aids, Q-tips, and packets of Advil so it can double as a first-aid kit.
Lip Balm/Lip Kit
Use a moisture-boosting lip balm to keep your pout nourished and soft, especially during a long trip. Bring your favorite lip colors too for when you are going out to lunch/dinner or a party. A good color has the power to instantly upgrade your look, so make sure you trust your favorite shade.
Mascara
Mascara must be the Holy Grail of all makeup and this is a must-pack item for wherever you are going. But you must’ve already known this.
Nail Polish
We’ll assume you’ll get your mani-pedi in check before the trip, but to make sure no uncomfortable chips give you trouble, pack your favorite polish and keep your tips in top shape. We always trust a natural nail polish for a long-lasting effect, and so should you. Include your nail manicure kit in the mix, too.
Fragrance
Sure, we all get into the “awwww” mood when we see the bottle of our favorite fragrance but they are so not practical for on the go. Instead, pick up one in a travel-sized package – they’ll easily slip into your bag and will never seep or spill. Love!

December 20, 2016Oh great packing guide! I definitely agree that when you’re traveling you need to take products you know will work every single time. And if they’re versatile perfect!

December 19, 2016Dry shampoo is really my best friend when I am traveling. You don’t always have the time to shower and wash the greasy feeling out of your hair.
