How To Get Rid Of Fine Lines In Your 30s?

You’re never too young to start good skin care habits. By the time you reach your thirties, your skin’s appearance and texture could be attributed to the skin care habits you developed in your twenties. As we age, it’s important to not only increase your efforts in terms of your skincare routine but to also be conscious enough to adapt them to your changing complexion.

Your thirties are rife with life events, life changes, career changes and more. What better time to start getting serious about a proper skincare routine if you haven’t yet? Once we age beyond our twenties, our skin begins to get a little sluggish. Don’t we owe it to our skin to amp things up a bit?

If you’ve reached the big three-oh and you’re having anxiety about your current skincare habits: don’t worry! It’s never too late to start good habits and see results. There are plenty of steps you can take to combat signs of aging.

What causes our skin to age?

When it comes to aging, there are many factors at play for why our skin develops those lines and wrinkles and more. Some of it is out of our control due to genetics. Some of it can be influenced by our daily habits and environment.

We can’t turn back time and prevent the natural aging process. No matter how much we may wish we could prevent them, we’ll all develop visible signs of aging on our face. As we age, it’s natural for our face to lose fullness and grow drier. It’s intrinsic aging, and it’s a part of life.

Extrinsic aging, on the other hand, is within our grasp of control. Environment and lifestyle choices have a direct effect on our skin and the overall aging process. By taking a few preventative measures and being proactive about your skincare, it is possible to slow down this type of aging and the wrinkles that come with it.

Simple steps lead to real results:

1) Wash your face

This may seem like a no-brainer, but I can’t stress the importance of cleansing your face regularly to rid your pores of the dirt and bacteria that can accumulate daily.

2) Before bed, moisturize

Apply a moisturizer and eye cream, specifically ones that contain retinol, collagen, or elastin to keep your skin firm and prevent dryness.

3) Always wear sunscreen

Sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher is the number one defense against premature lines and wrinkles. As for indoor tanning? Forget it, says the American Academy of Dermatology. Harmful UV rays from any source accelerate skin aging.

4) Smoke-free is the way to be

Tobacco smoke contains toxins that can lead to a dull and dry complexion, loss of firmness in skin, and premature lines and wrinkles.

5) Sleep, sleep, sleep

It’s not called beauty rest for nothing! Sleep gives your skin and body time to renew and revitalize. Never underestimate the power of a good night’s rest!

6) It’s Never Too Late

If you’re in your thirties, the odds are that any existing signs of aging you have are minimal. Regardless, even if you experience premature aging, it’s not too late to benefit from making lifestyle changes. By protecting your skin from the sun, you’re offering your skin a chance to repair some of the damage already done. Smokers who quit tend to notice their skin looks healthier once they’ve stopped smoking.

If signs of aging concern you, talk to a dermatologist or esthetician. There are a variety of products and non-invasive procedures to help prevent aging by smoothing wrinkles, tightening your skin, and improving your overall complexion.

    1. Ana, these advices are really good for everyday basis. Especially if one has good genetics. However, with the first wrinkles I would advise to go to a cosmetologist. There are modern ways to put that process on pause. I have done that and some wrinkles are totally gone.
