Edgewater Beach Hotel | A Home Away From Home
If you’re looking for a perfect luxury beach escape away from the hustle and bustle of South Florida, the iconic Edgewater Beach Hotel located in Naples in Southwest Florida would be an ideal getaway. Overlooking the panoramic turquoise waters and pristine sugar-white-sands of the unspoiled beach of Gulf, the Edgewater Beach Hotel is not only an epitome of an unparalleled luxury but also it is a perfect blend of an irresistible barefoot elegance and the exclusivity of a boutique inn. The hotel features 125 ultraluxe modern suites with enchanting private balconies situated on Naples beach. No doubt, it will make you feel like your home away from home.
I checked into Edgewater Beach Hotel by invitation to experience the extent the hotel indulges their guests.
As soon as I entered the hotel, I was welcomed by the receptionist with a warm smile. I had a smooth check-in and within 2 minutes, I was handed the keys to my suite. I was assisted with my luggage to the suite. I was excited to see what Edgewater had to offer!
The Suite
When I opened my suite, I was overwhelmed to see the welcome amenities. It was a very sweet gesture from the hotel to make me feel special! I was delighted to see the incredible chocolate tray signifying the beach life and it blended perfectly with the theme of the hotel. It not only tasted delicious but also was an ultimate welcome treat anyone could have after a long journey!
My suite had a living room with a separate dining area and kitchen, a separate bedroom, 2 closets cum storage area as well as the bathroom.
The decor of the suite had modern and distinct contemporary design inspired by the turquoise color palette of the sparkling Gulf waters. The living room was spacious and had a queen sofa bed, flat-screen television and a dining table with an open kitchen. I’ll let the below pictures speak for itself!
The Kitchen had a full-size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker as well as ample cabinet space filled with crockery and silverwares.
The bedroom had a king-sized bed with white linens and fluffy down comforters along with flat-screen television. There were sufficient power points on both the sides of the bed to plug your gadgets as well as throughout the suite. The turquoise themed bedroom was very soothing to my eyes.
The bed was very comfortable and I could see the beach while lying on it. I also opened the glass door of my balcony to feel the gentle breeze. The comfy bed brought out the child in me!
The bathroom was a quite spacious with a separate shower area and tub that I liked. It had all the amenities.
The suite also had a private balcony overlooking the panoramic sparkling Gulf waters blending perfectly with the hotel’s pool and the beach. It was a real treat to my eyes!
The Coast
The Coast — the restaurant at Edgewater provides a distinctive world-class cuisine and dining experience inspired by the coastal cuisine in Naples. Whether you prefer your meal in its contemporary dining room or outdoor terrace with a breathtaking view of swimming pools and the Gulf beach, the Coast knows very well how to entice their guests with its delicious food and drinks. From its signature breakfast dishes to its lunches to its savor fresh seafood and prime steaks served at sunsets, it was an ultimate experience!
I had some of the amazing cocktails and food at the Coast. I also had pleasure to meet sous-chef Gerardo Cruz who briefed me about the ingredients in my dishes as well as gave an overview of the signature cuisine that the Coast offers!
Milk & Cookie Buffet
Edgewater Hotel provides complimentary fresh homemade cookies and glass of milk each day from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the hotel lobby. So never miss a chance to delight your taste buds with these delicious treats!
The Pool Area
Edgewater has two signature heated swimming pools overlooking the scenic Gulf water. It is an ideal place to unwind. There is also a Pool Bar that offers signature tropical cocktails and entrées from the Coast kitchen. The pool is encapsulated by Palm trees that gives a perfect tropical Floridian vibe!
The Beach
Looking at the sparkling turquoise waters of the surreal Gulf beach is an experience in itself! The hotel provides complimentary chairs and towels. You can also rent a beach bed. If you’re fond of water sports, Edgewater also offers canoes, paddle boards and kayaks for an ultimate recreation. However, I preferred getting lazy and daydreaming on my beach bed while soaking the splendid view! The beach staff was very hospitable, friendly and took extra care of all the guests as there were heavy showers throughout that day and the staff was dedicated to meet all the needs of their guests.
The Picnic Basket
Edgewater also offers chef’s special picnic basket that you can include in your package. Whether you prefer your brunch while sitting on the Gulf Coast with a picturesque view or from your private balcony at your suite, you must try the picnic basket. From fresh fruits and seasonal salads to juices and oatmeal yogurts to chef’s special hand-crafted surprises, you can have a healthy and delicious meal throughout the day.
Other Amenities
Edgewater also has a Fitness Center, a Gift Shop, Business Center, Laundry Room and also provides Bike Rentals. This was one of my favorite way of exploring the old Naples!
What else to do in Naples, Florida?
If you’re a shopaholic, you must visit Fifth Avenue — an upscale shopper’s delight in the downtown area of the Naples famous for its unique fashion emporiums, antique shops, jewelry stores, cafes and restaurants that line the street shaded by swaying Palm trees.
Dine at Ocean Prime
If you’re looking for an ultimate fine dining culinary experience, visit Ocean Prime — a newly opened upscale chain in Naples located in the heart of the downtown on the Fifth Avenue. It is famous for its steak and seafood menu, extensive wine list and an elegant decor.

July 12, 2017Wow nice! I work in the hotels sector and have become somewhat of an expert on the topic in recent years. Florida has a lot of hotels, naturally, but I find most are dated and not really as nice as the marketing would have you believe. The Edgewater Beach Hotel, though, looks like a real gem!
