Moreover, frankincense essential oil is a powerful astringent and protects skin, tightens skin to minimize signs of aging just like anti-aging creams like Parisian glow, and it eliminates acne.
5) Peppermint
Peppermint essential oil is a must when you’re traveling due to its incredible potential to improve mental focus and clarity i.e. it’s an excellent way to energize your mind. Mix the oil with a little bit of water to make a refreshing body spray that will keep you cooler and more comfortable. Applying peppermint oil (particularly if you mix it with lavender essential oil) can help you cool and soothe any itchy. Just like many other essential oils, peppermint oil can function as a powerful bug repellent as well. It is also important to mention that peppermint has calming effects on your skin and relieves headaches. It hydrates skin and relieves the pain caused by sunburns.
6) Thieves
Thieves are a blend of essential oils, and it is specifically designed to support the immune system. It includes oils such as eucalyptus radiata, cinnamon, lemon, rosemary, and others. You can also use it to clear up your skin and reduce stress, both of which are important even when you travel.
7) Citrus oil
You have the option to go for any citrus fruit essential oil you want, depending on your preferences. Citrus fruits have a high, energizing scent that you can also use to combat the uncomfortable musty rooms. These oils don’t just refresh the vibe in your room, but they can also energize you at the same time. For example, lemon essential oil helps you relieve cramps and upset stomach, which is always good to know. Lemon oil increases alertness and concentration, and it also acts as an insect repellent. Due to astringent properties, lemon oil can reduce excessive sebum production and help you avoid the problem with oily skin. Here’s one of the most practical travel beauty tips; add a few drops of lemon, or some other citrus oil, to facial cleanser to remove dead skin cells and brighten your complexion. This way you get a powerful exfoliant.

July 14, 2017Thanks for the list of essential oils and their benefits. I have only a few that I use on a regular basis – lavender and peppermint. These are my two favorite oils to put in our diffuser. I will have to try the others too. Citrus sounds like the first one I would try.
