Trending Fashion With VIPshop | A Dress Review

When it comes to dresses, I try to choose those pieces that reflect my true persona and not the one that will make me look fake. I believe that every dress you own is your greatest possession. I’ve never confessed on my blog before but I do believe in a ‘Dress Therapy’! Yes, You read it correctly! Whenever I’m feeling blue’s, a beautiful dress acts like a healing remedy to me. It calms my mind and soothes my soul.

As a style traveler, I’m always in hunt of affordable brands with an eclectic collection to wear on my trips. While browsing the internet a few weeks ago, I stumbled upon VIPshop – An integrated Chinese brand of the world’s leading Flash Sale platform VIP.com. From summer staples to beach vibes to resort wears, I was in awe of its collection.

I came across this charming Blue Stand Collar Shirt With Gauze Embossed Skirt Shift dress and couldn’t resist myself to order it! Just by its first glimpse online, I had a smile on my face. I knew that this dress will be my mood uplifter. I was so RIGHT!  I’ve to admit that after wearing this dress, I was in my own happy world and felt so close to the mother nature. I was ecstatic, delighted and peaceful at heart and zen at mind.

This gorgeous dress comes with 2 pieces —  Blue Stand Collar Shirt and a Floral Embroidered Skirt and a belt to tie at the waist. Shift dresses are trending this season and this dress is a combination of stand neckline collar and swing skirt which gives this dress an elegant, sassy as well as chic look.

The fabric of the shirt is cotton and skirt is gauze which is non-stretchable, so you need to know your exact size. I ordered US size 4 and loved the fitting of my dress. I also loved its delicate handmade embroidery on the skirt. The only drawback about this dress is that you’ve to handwash because of the delicate skirt fabric. Though you can wash the shirt in the washing machine under delicate setting.

I styled the dress with  Loriano Tolani Sling bag from Grand Boutique Style to add a popup color and polka-dotted ballet flat from a local boutique.

I wore this dress on my last trip to Islamorada in the Florida Keys as well as attended few local events in Central Florida. The best part about this dress is it is very light for a perfect Florida’s tropical weather. The dress can beat the scorching heat and makes you look comfortable and cute! It is easy to wear and the fabric is very light so that you can feel the breeze within.
