Vegas During Christmas
What comes to your mind when you think about Las Vegas…? Lots of dazzling lights, neon billboards, casinos, adult shows and playground, etc…well, all these are correct in regular seasons but it reaches a different level during Christmas holiday season. It is a great time to visit the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World’, as this is when the city takes things to a whole other level. Las Vegas is the city that never sleeps and the fun never stops, you will have more than enough to keep you occupied during Christmas season.
I went to Las Vegas during Christmas Holidays of 2015. From the splendid Christmas decorations, festivities and celebrations to the never-ending exciting parties, lavish hotels, my Christmas in Las Vegas was truly magical. However, in this post, I am not going to tell you what I did out there because ‘whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas’! 😉
There are endless things to explore in Vegas during the holiday season. However, if you feel lazy due to chilled weather, you can simply spend time at the Strip where you will find awe-dropping star-studded shows to iconic casinos, best holiday food of the season and high-end elite shops to burn your money.
Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
One of Las Vegas’ most popular free attractions, the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is quite busy during the Christmas season, delighting the crowds with beautifully designed exhibits. The seasonal display typically features giant bells, penguins and polar bears, and pretty much all the poinsettia plants in the western hemisphere. The Christmas tree is always a show-stopper of the beautiful decoration.
Bellagio Fountain Show
An iconic Bellagio Fountain Show is MUST see the attraction for any Vegas visitor during Christmas holiday season because it’s not only free attraction but also spectacular show of thoughtfully interwoven water, music and light designed to mesmerize its admirers. The best part about this show during Christmas holidays is its festive background classic musical tunes such as Hallelujah Chorus, O Holy Night and Santa Baby throughout the season to set you in holiday mood and spirit.
Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
We all know that Las Vegas is a desert. But that hasn’t stopped the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas from putting in an ice skating rink during Christmas holiday season of 2015. There were fire pits, plenty of places to sit, and a menu of warm cocktails and comfort foods like a grilled cheese and tomato soup and hot chocolate. In order to add the true colors of Christmas, Cosmopolitan also arranged snow showers to complete the wintry holiday atmosphere.
The Palazzo Waterfall Atrium & Gardens at Christmas
The Palazzo Waterfall Atrium and Gardens is a must-see during the holiday season. There is an elaborate winter display of fantasy land that mesmerizes your senses.
Explore the decorations of rest of the Strips Hotels and Resorts
Most of the Strip’s resort corridor properties are decked out for the festive season and worth a stroll. The Vegas strip is full of holiday spirit as the casinos try to out-do each other with decorations, lights and mega-Christmas trees.
Las Vegas is the city full of life but during Christmas holidays, you will see the magnificent display of decorations and celebrations larger than life. In a city that loves bright, twinkly lights all year round, the Christmas holidays are the perfect excuse to step up the bling factor with beautifully designed holiday displays. If you ever think of planning any trip during Christmas holidays, then I can bet that Las Vegas, Nevada will never disappoint you.
If you have been to Vegas, do share your experience in the comments below?
Till then, Happy Wandering,

January 26, 2016Your pictures are lovely and bring back so many memories of past vacations! My favorite has to be the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, it seemed that every time I visited there I ran in to someone that I knew from another state.

January 26, 2016Wow – so beautiful! If there’s one city who can do it up at Christmas, I would imagine it would be Vegas! I’ve never been before – but now I want to go in December! Was it really crowded since it was the holidays?

January 26, 2016Hi, yeah the saddest part was it was heavily crowded and most of the tourist were foreigners.

January 26, 2016This decorations look amazing! I have a love hate relationship with Las Vegas. I love the shopping, shows, and nightlife, but I’m always SOOOOOO exhausted after a trip to Vegas. I’m basically obsessed with all things Bellagio and would love to experience it during the holiday season!

January 26, 2016Hi Roxy, Yes Vegas trip is quite hectic as you have to always walk throughout the day and night because of its 24*7 entertainment. Even I got exhausted after I came from my trip.
