Tampa Bay Area, FL | My Favorite Instagramable Spots
Tampa Bay Area is a home to the City of Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater surrounded by Tampa Bay on the West Coast of Central Florida, US. Whether you’re a history buff or a beach lover, Tampa Bay Area has plenty of things to offer!
But if you’re fond of Instagram, there’s plenty of unique spots for taking dope shots. Tampa has been my home for quite a few years and I’ve compiled the list of some of my favorite Instagramable spots to capture epic shots!
Tampa Museum of Art
Address: 120 W Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, FL 33602
This massive metal wall on the terrace of the second floor of Tampa Museum of Art sets an ultimate backdrop if you’re looking for a unique spot!
Next, to the museum, you’ll find plenty of street art on the walls of the parking garage as well as art displays on many skyscrapers in the downtown. Take fa ew moments and delight your eyes surrounded with the urban beauty that this beautiful city has to offer!
Henry B. Plant Museum
Address: 401 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33606
If you love architectural photography, you’ll be amazed by the idiosyncratic Moorish Revival architecture of the Henry B. Plant Museum which is located in the south wing of Plant Hall on the University of Tampa’s campus.
Hyde Park Village
Address: 744 S Village Cir, Tampa, FL 33606
Hyde Park Village is one of the charming and upscale open-air shopping districts and neighborhoods in the vicinity of the Tampa downtown. It is a home to some amazing bars, restaurants, boutiques and shops which are always buzzing with high energy. Its iconic Spanish fountain is an insta-worthy spot for capturing some amazing shots. Also, don’t forget to delight your taste buds by the variety of delicious popsicles at The Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops!
Hyde Park Village has many beautiful murals but one of my favorite murals is ‘Obscura’ by Leon “Tes One” Bedore which is a vibrant contemporary piece of art!
‘Truth’ Sculpture at Vinoy Park, St. Petersburg
Address: 701 Bay Shore Dr NE, St Petersburg
This ‘Truth’ sculpture is an installation by the artist Rolf Brommelsick. Two massive triangles tilted towards each other and coming together at the points with a perfect backdrop of swaying palm trees and splendid waterfront giving perfect Floridian vibes!
Sunshine Skyway Bridge
Address: I-275, St. Petersburg, FL 33711
No visit to Tampa Bay Area would be completed if you haven’t drive on the Sunshine Skyway. It is considered to be the longest cable-stayed concrete bridge in the world. The bridge is one of the marvelous creation of engineerings and a popular spot for filming automobile commercials.
Skyway Fishing Pier State Park
Address: Interstate 275, St. Petersburg, FL 33711
You can take some amazing shots of Sunshine Skyway in the backdrop from the Skyway Fishing Pier State Park. If you’re fond of fishing, you should totally visit the pier as it is the longest fishing pier in the world!
Honeymoon Island State Park
Address: 1 Causeway Blvd, Dunedin, FL 34698
A swing on the beach makes a picture perfect dramatic setting for beach photography…isn’t it? When it comes to Honeymoon Island State Park, there’s not one but plenty of swings overlooking the panoramic view of emerald Gulf water! Therefore, you can’t miss capturing some amazing shots here.
Sunset at Clearwater Beach
Nothing is surreal than Floridian sunsets. As Florida is blessed with some breathtaking Gulf and Atlantic Beaches but Clearwater Beach is one of my all-time favorites. Some of the cool spots to capture the sunset at Clearwater Beach are Pool Deck on the eighth floor of the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach and Ron Jon Surf Shop’s parking garage.
Do let me know few of your favorite Instagramable spots if you’ve visited Tampa Bay Area in the comments below? If not, which spot would you love to shoot?
Till then, Happy Wandering!
