Warner Bros. Studio Tour, Hollywood | 7 Reasons Why You’ll Love It?
Los Angeles is a sprawling city renowned to be a home of Hollywood — the entertainment capital of the world with the glitzy glamor of celebrities, superstars and showbiz. From its picturesque landscape to the theme parks attractions, from the melting pot of various cultural diversity and ethnicity to its amazing food, the City of Angels has plenty of things to entice its first-time visitor. On my last visit to LA, I explored a number of attractions but the iconic Warner Bros. Studio tour in Burbank was one of my favorites. The tour gives you a perfect opportunity to witness behind the scenes, actions and thrills of movie making and television industry.
Here are my 7 reasons why Warner Bros. Studio Tour should be on the top of your LA wishlist!
7) If you want to be in New York, Chicago, LA at the same time
This is one of the backlots of Warner Bros. Studio which has been transformed into the streets of New York, Chicago or even Los Angeles in many movies and tv-series. These buildings are warehouses and completely empty from inside. These backlots has been the exterior sets for many classic films and TV shows such Casablanca, Batman and Friends to name a few.
6) If you want to see the Fuller House
Do you remember this house? The stage 24 in Warner Bros. Studio is a home to Netflix popular tv-series — Fuller House. Therefore, don’t forget to take a picture of this house during your tour.
5) If you love Gilmore Girls
For all the Gilmore Girls fan, Stars Hollow — the fictional town in Connecticut was made in Warner Bros. Studios. Can you recognize the house and that church? Of course, it is Lorelai Gilmore’s house and that’s an iconic church of the Stars Hollow. You’ll also see Miss Patty’s dance academy and Luke’s diner on your tour.
4) If you want to know your Hogwarts house
Whether you’re a muggle or a wizard, a true fan of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is fascinated by the magical Sorting Hat that determines which of the four school Houses ( Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin) each new student belongs at Hogwarts. At the Warner Bros. Studio tour, you’ll get a chance to know about your house. Did I mention that I got Gryffindor? 😉
You’ll also get a chance to see the detailed costumes of Lord Voldemort, from a young Tom Riddle to his rise as the Dark Lord as well as other exhibits from Fantastic Beasts and Wonder Woman.
Not only this, but you’ll also get a chance to ride on Nimbus 2000 or Firebolt brooms as seen in the Harry Potter film series or ride the Bat-pod through the streets of Gotham in the green screen experience during the post-production part of the tour just like the actors do while filming.
3) If you love the Lord of the Rings
For all the Lord of the Rings fan, you’ll get a chance to visit the Middle-earth and be a part of the mind-bending special effect known as ‘forced perspective filming’, as seen in The Fellowship of the Ring. Don’t forget to pose like having a gala time as Gandalf and Frodo Baggins for capturing some epic shots!
2) If you’re a fan of Ellen
Who doesn’t love Ellen? The stages 1, 2 and 3 has been home to The Ellen DeGeneres Show for 14 seasons. You might get a chance to visit on the set of this show and take pictures. I went there on a weekend, so the set was empty and we got enough time to hang around and take many pictures we wanted. However, I have no idea whether they take you on this set during the weekdays at the time of the shooting.
1) If you’re a die-hard fan of F.R.I.E.N.D.S
Need I say more? If you have watched all the 236 episodes of one of the greatest American sitcoms gazillion times, I bet you’ll have the time of your life during Warner Bros. Studio Tour.
If you haven’t watched that show, add to your watching list this seasaon.
Friends is one of the most popular and television’s most-watched situation comedies based on the lives of six eccentric pals living in New York City. Can you believe that not even a single episode of this sitcom was filmed in NYC? Yes! All the seasons of this hit show were filmed at Warner Bros. Studio.
This small park was shown as a Central Park in the show. Remember the scene when Rachel and Phoebe go for a jogging together and Rachel feels uncomfortable running with Phoebe because of her ridiculously funny run. Our guide told that it was filmed here.
One of the best parts of the Warner Bros. Studio Tours is you get a chance to visit Central Perk which is a replica of real Friend’s cafe. Grab a coffee along with cupcake, cookie or sandwich to end your tour. Central Perk also has a wide selection of gourmet sandwiches, salads, grilled cheese, hot dogs and freshly baked pizza to delight any tastebud.
My favorite part of entire Warner Bros. Studio Tour was when we got a chance to hang out for a moment on the Central Perk coffee house set from Friends and sat on this iconic couch. It was an overwhelming experience!
I’ve only mentioned a few highlights from the tour. However, there’re plenty of other things to explore out there and experience to gain that I can’t express through words. Overall, you’ll get an opportunity to take a glimpse of the different side of the Hollywood and I bet you’re going to embrace it!
Do share your experience if you have been to Warner Bros. Studio Tour in the comments below? If not, would you like to visit there?
Till then, Happy Wandering!

May 26, 2018Looks like a super fun adventure. Does every one get put in Gryffindor or do they truly space people out? I picture some young child bursting into tears when chosen for Slytherin. =P

May 26, 2018Not really! Most of the people got Gryffindor in my group but my hubby got Slytherin! And we all started making fun of him!

May 25, 2018It’s awesome to be able to know those little tidbits about our favorite movies and sitcoms. We were made to believe that they were filmed in actual location when, in fact, those were just recorded in that studio lot. Loved the effort to build all those location sets.
