New York Fashion Week SS19 | My Style Lookbook

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you know that I just attended New York Fashion Week. From the star-studded runway shows to the backstage adventures to pre and post parties, my NYFW experience was no less than a dream.

It was my first time at the fashion week and I was excited to experience the larger than life shows with my own eyes. Even I got a chance to sit in the front row in the few shows and experience all the runway magic so closely.

What I wore at NYFW?

The main mantra for dressing up at fashion week is to look your best and create a signature style. There are always photographers outside the venues who capture the street styles of the season. This means that you shouldn’t miss an opportunity to get featured in the street style section of many renowned publications. Therefore, it is the perfect opportunity to flaunt your style at its best.

Day 1 Look

My Day 1 at NYFW was pretty hectic as I drove early morning from Tampa to Orlando. My flight was from Orlando International Airport in the morning and reached Newark Liberty International Airport around 12:00 PM. My first show was Fashion Palette Australian Group at 3:00 PM featuring Australian Designers: Bronx & Banco, Harvey the Label, Saski Collection, Santina Nicole, NNCY, DA by Daniel , Avery Verse, The Blonde Republic and Eliatt to name a few.

Considering the NYC traffic and hotel check-in, I only had 15 minutes to get ready and leave for the show. I decided to wear something elegant and this Worthington dress was a great choice. I added a blue blazer to pop-up the color of my entire outfit. This darling dress is sold out but I’ve added a few other similar options for you.

My second show was Aritistix by Andy Hilfiger and Greg Polisseni and it was at the different location starting from 5:30 PM onwards. My last show of the evening was Vivienne Hu and her collection was an ultimate treat to end the night.

Day 2 Look

I had to attend 6 shows on Day 2. Three shows of Oxford Fashion Studio SS19 Collection Group, 2 shows of Global Fashion Collective and Badgley Mischka’s 30th-anniversary celebration.

So, I tried to look comfy as well as chic. If you’ve been regular to my blog, you would be aware of my obsession with yellow color, so how couldn’t I have added that color to my outfit! Even I played with my hairs that day as I kept it open for few shows and also made my hairs updo for the other.

Day 3 Look

On Day 3, I had to attend 3 runway shows of NonieF/FFFFFF and Ruby Fang and one event at night. Hence, I tried to make this look quite chic and trendy as I didn’t have enough time to go back to my hotel and change into a different outfit for the night event. I relied on this old Zaful’s dress and it didn’t let me down. I also paired it with floral sneakers to comfort my feet. It was raining throughout that day and pretty cold, so this yellow blazer was also a great choice. I got many compliments as well as saw many photographers capturing my outfit.

Day 4 Look

It was my last Day at NYFW and had to attend only one show of Carolina Herrera and bloggers event before boarding the flight. It was also a gloomy rainy day in NYC. So, I thought to mix florals with culottes and add a few dazzling accessories to complete the look. I got many compliments for this look too.

New York Fashion Week SS19 | My Style LookbookOverall, I had an amazing time playing dress-up during NYFW. I hope you enjoyed the glimpse of my NYFW lookbook and many thanks to those of you who followed my NYFW adventure through Insta-stories. Can’t wait to share about some of my favorite shows, designers and experiences in the upcoming blogs soon.

Till then, Happy Styling!

Love,
Ana

    1. I adore your style! You look amazing. I love to see people wear colours and so many patterns. Like- can you come dress me? haha. I stick to neutrals, which is easy but when I see clothes like yours it makes me think I should push outside my comfort zone more!

    1. Love your outfit in New York Fashion Week. The day 1 look is so elegant and smart to match with the red clutch bag. The day 2 was pretty amazing too, the yellow strip is not the usual stip we see, very unique and eye-catching.

    1. I don’t really pay much attention to fashion shows, but it certainly looks like you understand how to make a fashion statement! My favorite outfit is Day 1! The blue jacket is striking and everything is so perfectly matched, including the shoes and bag.

    1. Wow, great outfits, very stylish and I love the splatter paint dress! It must be so fun and exciting to be at NYFW! I’ve never been to a fashion show, and to be honest would feel a bit out of place.
