NYFW SS19 | My Experience At Artistix Runway Show
From the glitzy glamor of runway shows to the star-studded pre and post parties to the backstage actions, I had an amazing time at New York Fashion Week last month. I got an opportunity to watch many runway shows of renowned designers and Artistix was one of my favorites. Andy Hilfiger and artist Greg Polisseni showcased their designs inspired by Polisseni’s art in their Spring collection called ‘Sierra’ inspired by the tranquility provided by mother nature’s many landscapes.
Some of the front row celebrities who attended the Artistix runway shows were, of course, the Hilfiger family including Tommy Hilfiger, his sister Ginny Hilfiger, NY Knicks player Tim Hardaway, La La Anthony and rappers Grand Puba, and AZ to name a few.
Artistix S/S 2019 Runway Show
Artistix hosted the unveiling of their new S/S 2019 collection on September 7th at Cedar Lake Theater, NYC. The show started at 6:37 PM with a video showing the glimpse of previous runway seasons of the brand and then the Spring collection came down the runway. There were 23 looks included for both men and women.
Artistix Spring collection showcased the active fashion with bright colors, bold block patterns, camouflage prints and colorful artwork. Some of the signature pieces on the runway were bodysuits and track pants for women as well as, anoraks and cargo shorts for men.
One of the most beautiful moments of the show was when Shiggy (an Instagram star and also seen dancing to Drake’s In My Feelings video) performed his #DoTheShiggy signature moves making a driving motion and heart sings during the ‘Keke, do you love me? Are you riding?’ lyrics. The crowd applauded him with joy.
In the words of Andy Hilfiger, “This show was about introducing the idea of ‘active-fashion’, the concept is that you should feel comfortable but look fashionable so we included color-blocked bodysuits, embellished tracksuits, and lightly filled outerwear.”

The show ended around 6:48 PM with high energy when Andy Hilfiger along with his team and models cheered over the center stage.
I had an amazing time at Artistix runway show and I really liked its Spring collection that’s trendy, comfortable and perfect for flaunting your street style swagger. Did I mention about the goodie bag that we receive at the beginning of the show? I love when brands acknowledge their guests. It was a sweet gesture from Artistix to make all guests feel special.

October 4, 2018New York Fashion Week is a totally great place to go for all the fashion enthusiasts. People watch it over TV and Youtube. One would definitely enjoy being there.
