The Most Instagram Worthy Spots In Magic Kingdom At Walt Disney World
There’s no place in this world more magical and colorful than the happiest place on this earth. The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World is a paradise for Instagrammers. Even you’re not obsessed with social media but want to make the most out of your Disney vacation, there’re some cool spots with perfect backdrops in the Magic Kingdom where you must take plenty of pictures during your visit.
Sit tight, relax and check out virtually these picture-perfect spots for your next WDW vacation!
1) The Cinderella’s Castle
The iconic Cinderella’s Castle is a must spot to take some amazing pictures for anyone going to the Magic Kingdom. There’re plenty of spots to take some cool castle shots but one of my favorite spots is from the balcony in front of Walt Disney World Railroad. You get a beautiful view of the Main Street, U.S.A with Cinderella’s Castle in the backdrop.
2) Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire
Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire is a daily castle show which is performed in front of the Cinderella’s Castle. Mickey and Minnie along with other Disney characters celebrate the stories of some of the recent animated Disney classics such as Frozen, Tangled and The Princess and the Frog. As I loved Frozen, couldn’t miss a chance to capture Olaf, Anna, Princess Elsa, Minnie and Mickey in a single frame!
3) Your favorite Mickey & Minnie shaped Treat
If you’re like me who love taking pictures of anything before I eat, you couldn’t resist the treats of Magic Kingdom. You need to take pictures of any Mickey or Minnie shaped treats before eating it. From Mickey & Minnie shaped waffles to candies to sundaes to pretzels, you name it and they have it. Deciding which treat to buy is in itself a herculean task!
One of my favorite Disney treats is Minnie Mouse Sundae at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. It features two scoops of any of your favorite ice cream flavors topped with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, strawberries, chocolate cream cookies as well as a cute bow made up of chocolate. It tastes absolutely divine!
Some of my other favorite Disney treats are Mickey Mouse Cinnamon Roll, Mickey & Miney shaped Waffles and Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich.
4) Your Mickey or Minnie Ear Hat/Headband
If you’re wearing an ear hat or a headband, don’t forget to take some shots with the backdrop of Cinderella’s castle. It will look amazing on your Instagram feed.
5) Starbucks cup
For all the Starbucks lover, you shouldn’t miss taking pictures with Disney themed cups that are available only in Disney theme parks.
Whether you’re fond of hot or ice drinks, both the cups look adorable on Instagram. But my favorite is a hot drink cup because the art-work details look prominent on its white background.
6) With Gaston
Gaston — A handsome lad from The Beauty & The Beast who was turned down by Belle is one of the most popular characters on Instagram. You can meet him near his Tavern in Fantasyland of Magic Kingdom. He is cheesy, quirky, entertaining and loves to flaunt his biceps.
7) With balloons on Main Street, U.S.A
The backdrop with balloons featuring Disney characters makes a beautiful spot for taking some Instagram-worthy Magic Kindom shots. All you need to do is politely ask one of the cast members on the Main Street, U.S.A and voila…you get your perfect WDW picture!
8) Splash Mountain
The Splash Mountain is one of the most spectacular, thrilling and busiest rides at the Magic Kingdom. This ride is about a rabbit being chased by a fox and a bear based on the story Song of the South released in 1946. There’s a breathtaking 52-foot drop at the end of this ride where most of the riders get scared. It is a fun spot to capture the thrill of the riders.
9) Prince Eric’s Castle, Fantasyland
Prince Eric’s Castle is located in the Fantasyland of the Magic Kingdom. It is exterior of the Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid show. I’ve to admit that strolling around this area of the Fantasyland transfers you into an old-world charm. The castle serves as a beautiful backdrop for some amazing Instagram-worthy shots.
10) Pinocchio Village Haus
As a kid, I was fond of Pinocchio. Therefore, couldn’t miss an opportunity to get captured in front of this cute little Pinocchio Village Haus restaurant in Fantasyland. It serves pizzas, salads, sandwiches and plenty of kid-friendly fare. If you want to take a few shots at unconventional spots in the Magic Kingdom, the exterior of Pinocchio Village Haus would be a great backdrop!
11) Main Street, U.S.A
Main Street, U.S.A is one of the most iconic streets in the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World. It is surrounded by Town Square Theater, restaurants, cafes and plenty of shops selling Disney merchandise. The decor of the Main Street is inspired by early-20th-century small-town America and the backdrop is amazing for some Instagram-worthy shots.
12) With Partnered Statue
The Partnered Statue is a copper statue of Walt Disney holding hands with a Mickey Mouse. It is placed in front of the Cinderella’s Castle and is one of the most popular photo spots in the Magic Kingdom. The statue was originally created by Blaine Gibson in 1960s.
13) Sharing The Magic — With Roy O. Disney & Minnie Statue
Sharing the Magic is a statue of Roy O. Disney and Minnie Mouse sitting on the bench. The statue is installed in Town Square next to Walt Disney World’s dedication plaque. It symbolizes Roy’s effort to bring his younger brother Walt’s dream for Florida to life. The bench is a wonderful spot for taking some epic shots of the Main Street and Cinderella’s Castle in the backdrop.
14) Happily Ever After Fireworks
The Magic Kingdom is world renowned for its larger than life 18-minutes fireworks extravaganza in the backdrop of Cinderella’s Castle. From the use of lasers, lights and special effects, Happily Ever After is a grand finale of the most spectacular and dazzling fireworks at Walt Disney World. No picture of Disney fireworks is bad. All you have to do is take as many as you can!
15) Of course with Mickey & Minnie at Town Square Theater
No trip to Disney’s Magic Kingdom would be complete if you didn’t meet and take a picture with Mickey at Town Square Theater. As it all started with a mouse, Mickey is celebrating his 90th Anniversary and therefore he is accompanied by his beloved Minnie dressed up in colorful party attire. Itโs a once-in-a-mouse time opportunity as the dressed up duo is only for the limited time up to September 30th, 2019 and therefore you can’t miss it!
I hope you enjoyed this magical post. Let me know if you’ve any questions related to WDW or need tips on planning your Disney vacation and I’d be happy to help?

May 1, 2019These are great spots! Very creative. I like the idea of borrowing balloons from an employee for that shot. People would wonder why and how you got so many balloons – how fun!
