6 Anti-Aging Skin Care Tips To Decrease Wrinkles

Aging gracefully is definitely one of the biggest challenges to overcome during our lives. The good news is that there are plenty of measures that you can take, in order to care for your skin and make wrinkles less visible. Keep in mind that a youthful appearance can also increase your self-esteem, as it will make you feel good about yourself. Also, watch out for the risk factors that can contribute to aging process, such as smoking, prolonged sun exposure or emotional stress.

1. Gentle cleanser

As your skin begins to age, it will also experience more intense dryness. Because of that, wrinkles are going to be quite obvious. If you want to maintain the youthful aspect of the skin for as long as it is possible, you need to begin using a gentle cleanser. In this way, you will be able to clean your skin, without actually causing any further damage. Moreover, gentle cleansers contain all sort of natural extracts, such as chamomile and aloe vera, which will hydrate and nourish the skin.

2. Silicone-based products

Once you have reached a certain age, it is time to ask yourself how to prevent wrinkles. Well, silicone-based products might represent just the answer you were looking for, helping you not only to minimize existent wrinkles but also to prevent the formation of new ones. These products will ensure a smooth complexion, sealing in moisture at the same time. For example, you can purchase a regenerating serum that contains silicone, applying it right before the rest of your makeup.

3. Vitamin A

Reaching the age of 40 is not a death sentence, but it does signify you should take better care of your skin, especially if you want to escape the aged aspect. Retinoids are rich in vitamin A, and they can do wonders when it comes to slowing the aging process. They are capable of making both fine lines and wrinkles less visible, increasing the cell turnover and lightening any areas of hyperpigmentation. In the situation that you have sensitive skin, you should opt for less potent retinoids or avoid them altogether.

4. Omega-3 supplements

Omega-3 supplements are often recommended for your health, as they can guarantee a strong immune system. However, they can also protect the skin cells from further damage, improving the aspect of both fine lines and wrinkles. In general, it is indicated to take these supplements on a daily basis, to benefit from their healthy properties. And, speaking about supplements, you can also take vitamin C and fortified minerals as these will help you maintain a youthful aspect as well.

5. Restorative skin cream

Before you go to bed, the one thing that you want to do is prepare your skin for the night. After removing your makeup and other impurities that might have gathered over the course of the entire day, it is time to help your skin repair and rejuvenate itself. Applying restorative skin cream is a good idea, as such products are rich in nourishing ingredients. They can be used to undo the damage caused by free radicals and, thus, prevent the appearance of new wrinkles.

6. Natural exfoliation

The accumulation of dead cells at the level of the skin is primarily responsible for the dull and aged aspect. If you are interested in turning back the years and making some of those wrinkles less visible, you need to become accustomed to exfoliation. While there are many products out there that you can purchase for such purposes, you can also try out natural solutions. You can prepare a homemade scrub by mixing a little bit of brown sugar or sea salt with honey. Apply the resulting mixture on your lips and perform a gentle massage, to remove the dead cells. Then, rinse the whole thing off with lukewarm water and apply a hydrating lip balm.

These are some of the best skin care tips you can try out, to make any existent wrinkles less obvious and prevent the formation of new ones. You can also try Resvibrant, an anti-aging product that is recommended for wrinkle reduction and prevention. Before you use this product, make sure to read all about its benefits and potential side-effects. Other from that, it is a good idea to protect yourself from the sun, avoiding the middle of the day and using sunscreen lotion throughout the entire year (including when it is cloudy outside).

    1. Ooh, those are some good tips and I’m definitely trying them. I knew about gentle clensers but I didn’t know about vitamin A, thank you for that! I’d love to add the use of sunscreen made specifically for the delicate tissue on your face (meaning not the same sunscreen you’re putting on your arms) to prevent some wrinkling, age spots or worse.

    1. These are great tips. There are so many products it’s hard to know what to look for. I always try to avoid anything with “beads” and stick to more natural products.

    1. Thanks for the tips. I didn’t know that Omega-3, Vitamin C, and Vitamin A were good for the skin. I must take two of three daily. Although I’ve recognized the difference in my skin, I never attributed to the supplements. It’s great to know that there are extra benefits. Unfortunately, Resvibrant isn’t good for people with sensitive skin.
